Yucca Mountain Advisory Opinion
An advisory opinion (pdf) was issued July 31, 2002, by the Director of the Office of Government Ethics to the Department of Energy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission concerning the application of the criminal post-employment statute (18 U.S.C. 207) to certain aspects of the Government's Yucca Mountain Project. We understand that numerous current and former Department employees may be affected by this decision.
